Job summary

Parkdean Resorts UK Limited is seeking a dedicated Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team across our parks. You will wash, prep and portions ingredients, assist chefs during service, and help keep the kitchen clean and safe for guests.

Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced environment, show a positive attitude, and be flexible to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. Food Hygiene Level 2 training available with our support.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen or hospitality setting.
• Willing to train in Food Hygiene Level 2.
• Positive, energetic attitude and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, and prep ingredients for service.
• Receive deliveries, check quality and expiry dates.
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Keep kitchen clean and hygienic (surfaces, appliances, dishes).
• Assist with basic food preparation as directed by senior chefs.
• Communicate clearly to ensure smooth service.
• Report any issues with safeguarding or information systems as needed.
• Uphold health & safety responsibilities to protect guests and colleagues.
