Job summary

Parkdean Resorts UK Limited is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support our busy culinary team in a fast-paced, guest‑facing environment at our parks in the United Kingdom. You will assist with basic food preparation, ingredient prep, and maintaining cleanliness and safety standards to help deliver high‑quality meals for guests.

You’ll work closely with Head Chef and Sous Chefs, contributing to efficient service while developing your skills through on‑site training and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Willingness to complete Food Hygiene Level 2 training if needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel and prep ingredients for service.
• Receive deliveries, check stock quality and expiry dates, store properly.
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
• Keep kitchen clean and hygienic, including appliances and surfaces.
• Support basic food preparation as directed by senior chefs.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues to ensure smooth service.
• Report any weaknesses or breaches in information systems.
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and hygiene responsibilities.
