Job summary

Parkdean Resorts is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to join our busy culinary team. You’ll help with washing, prep, stock checks and keeping the kitchen clean and safe during service across our parks.

Work closely with Head Chef and Sous Chefs, develop basic cooking skills, and contribute to delivering high-quality dishes quickly for guests. Training and career development are supported, with attractive staff discounts on holidays and meals.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen is desirable.
• Good manual dexterity for prep tasks.
• Positive, energetic approach and commitment to great service.
• Strong communication and team spirit.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
• Food Hygiene Level 2, or willingness to complete training.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel and prepare ingredients for service.
• Receive deliveries, check stock quality and expiry dates.
• Rotate stock and support waste reduction.
• Keep kitchen and dishes clean and hygienic.
• Assist senior chefs with basic prep tasks.
• Communicate clearly with team for smooth service.
• Report weaknesses or breaches in information systems.
• Uphold safeguarding, health & safety and hygiene responsibilities.
