Key Account Manager – Energy Transition & Decarbonisation

About the Role

We’re seeking a commercially driven Key Account Manager to join our expanding global sales team. You’ll be at the forefront of supporting energy transition sectors, working with industries such as :

  • Oil & Gas
  • Power Generation
  • Carbon Capture
  • Hydrogen Generation & Storage
  • Waste-to-X
  • Power Grid
  • Renewable Heating

Your focus will be on developing new business opportunities, growing existing accounts, and delivering sustainable, profitable results.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage and grow a defined portfolio of key accounts within your sector focus.
  • Build strong, long-term client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Interpret customer technical requirements (specifications, drawings, standards) and propose effective solutions.
  • Prepare cost estimates, proposals, and bid documentation to secure new projects.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure delivery excellence.
  • Support marketing initiatives aimed at driving growth in targeted sectors.
  • Travel within the UK and internationally to attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years’ experience in Key Account Management or Engineering / Applications roles within relevant energy or industrial sectors.
  • Proven track record in sales of technical or engineered products (e.g., pressure vessels, heat exchangers, piping, storage tanks, modular skids, acoustic & filtration equipment).
  • Strong knowledge of the UK & EU market and working practices.
  • Background in engineering / manufacturing with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Commercial awareness, analytical mindset, and problem-solving ability.
Qualifications
  • Diploma or higher in Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing (degree preferred).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel.
