Job summary

A leading global clinical research provider is seeking an experienced Key Account Manager to shape the use of specialist products in cardiology and intensive care units across North London, Cambridgeshire, Bedfordshire, and East Anglia. The successful candidate will ensure access to products by NHS and private providers through strategic initiatives and strong negotiation skills. A proven track record in UK secondary care is essential, along with an ABPI qualification and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Experience in secondary care, ideally in cardiology or ITU medicine.
  • Strong selling and negotiating skills with key customers.
  • Knowledge of NHS budgetary and planning processes.

Responsibilities

Key Account Manager

IQVIA is currently recruiting for our client’s headcount, for an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to shape and direct the use of a specialist cardiology/ intensive care unit product across North London/ Cambridgeshire/ Bedfordshire and East Anglia.

Providing a high-quality commercial approach, you will maximise opportunities and investments using your successful negotiation skills. You will be producing and implementing bespoke initiatives that enable access to the use of our client's products by NHS and private providers.

It will be essential to maintain a high degree of knowledge of the defined therapy areas and NHS policies (both local and national) by proactively reviewing their current positions and providing solutions where appropriate to ensure the use of our client’s products.

You need:
  • A proven track record working in secondary care and ideally, although not essential, in the field of cardiology and/ or ITU medicine within the UK
  • ABPI qualification
  • A high level of selling, commercial acumen and negotiating skills
  • The ability to develop positive relationships with all key customers including clinician, commissioners and business managers
  • Up to date knowledge of the product, disease area and customer environment, including the NHS budgetary and planning processes
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
