Job Description

We have an opening for virtual, part-time Analysts on the Keeling Curve Prize 2026 Analysis team. Climate Curve’s Keeling Curve Prize (KCP) has been awarded since 2018.

The prize is globally recognised as one of the most prestigious and scientifically rigorous climate awards and has catalysed exponential growth for climate startups, nonprofits, and high-impact companies around the world.

The prize was designed to elevate solutions that reduce, remove, and replace greenhouse gas emissions across a wide range of approaches and geographies — with the singular goal of decarbonising the planet.

Each year, it awards $50,000 USD to the ten best emissions mitigation and sequestration solutions that accelerate climate action.

Responsibilities

As a part of its review process, Climate Curve seeks to add analysts to its KCP review team that works on a part-time consultancy basis from January through April 2026 to:

  • Evaluate applications to the prize asynchronously on their own schedule, using Climate Curve’s platform
  • Discuss the application format and judging criteria, and suggest improvements
  • Discuss applications among the analyst team in several synchronous meetings throughout the contract period to develop a slate of finalists
  • Submit written reviews and documentation on finalists, with background research as needed
  • Consult as needed on questions that Climate Curve staff or affiliates may have on finalists during the contract period
Other information

This position is open to analysts based around the world, provided they can access a stable internet connection for analyst team meetings over the course of the contract period. It is perfect for folks who would like to have a meaningful part-time, short-term consultancy “side gig” reviewing dozens of innovations across the climate space. The stipend for 2026 is $3,500 USD.
