Job Description

Reporting to the Trading Director, Your responsibilities are outlined below:

  • Commercial & Trading Support: Responsible for assisting the Trade director in managing the import and export flow of building materials internationally into West Africa
  • Preparing commercial agreements, while supporting negotiations with suppliers, logistic partners and freight partners across West Africa
  • Supply Chain & Operations: Coordinating sea and land shipments from production plants to port terminals and final destinations
  • Liaise with shipping companies, forwarding agents and local transportersMarket Research & Analysis: Responsible for producing marketing intelligence reports for West Africa (imports, consumption, pricing trends)
  • Ability to analyze client portfolios while identifying potential commercial leads
The Successful Applicant
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Junior Trader preferably from an International commodity sector covering African markets
  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade, Business Management within reputable universities within Europe is preferred
  • Previous exposure within the logistics and shipping sector is a plus
  • Excellent fluency in French and English is mandatory
  • Self‑motivated individual with an ability to excel within challenging environments
  • Willing to travel internationally and relocate to Ivory Coast
