Responsibilities

  • Liaise with customers to provide technical support.

  • Assist engineers with on-site and remote system commissioning.
  • Support day‑to‑day IT operations including servers and staff devices.
  • Set up and test laptops, tablets, and other customer devices.

Junior Support Engineer

Salary: Competitive

Location: Rugeley Staffordshire

Contract: Full-Time Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00am 5:30pm

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Support Engineer to join a growing company in Rugeley. You will play a key role supporting customers and field engineers assisting with internal IT and helping configure and commission systems. Occasional national and international travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
Customer Support:
  • Liaise with customers to provide technical support
  • Conduct remote diagnostics and implement repair solutions
  • Develop support procedures and maintain accurate records
System Commissioning:
  • Assist engineers with on-site and remote system commissioning
  • Maintain system records process data and prepare reports
  • Collaborate with customers and third‑party engineers
Customer Equipment Setup:
  • Set up and test laptops tablets and other customer devices
  • Install software perform acceptance tests and maintain setup procedures
Internal IT Support:
  • Support day‑to‑day IT operations including servers and staff devices
  • Install updates troubleshoot issues and perform backups
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience in IT support or a similar technical role
  • Strong ICT skills and problem‑solving ability
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure
  • Highly organised with attention to detail and excellent time management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Hands‑on proactive and can‑do attitude
