Junior Structural Engineer – High‑Rise Residential (up to £45,000)

Permanent | Leeds | Hybrid Working

A well-established structural engineering consultancy, recognised for its expertise in designing high‑rise residential buildings up to 60 storeys, is seeking a motivated Junior Structural Engineer to join their Leeds team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside some of the industry’s leading engineers on complex reinforced concrete (RC) structures that shape modern skylines across the UK and beyond.

The Role

You’ll be involved in the design and analysis of high‑rise concrete buildings, supporting senior engineers and contributing to the full lifecycle of major residential projects. The role offers exceptional technical exposure, mentorship, and structured career progression towards chartership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design and detailing of reinforced concrete and steel structures
  • Produce analysis models and calculations under supervision
  • Prepare drawings and documentation in collaboration with technicians
  • Attend design meetings and liaise with other disciplines
  • Contribute to technical reports and design reviews
About You
  • Degree‑qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Ideally 2–4 years’ experience in structural design within a consultancy environment
  • A keen interest in tall building design and reinforced concrete structures
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to learning
  • Working towards Chartership (IStructE or ICE)
