A leading home design firm in the UK is seeking a Store Designer to join their team. This role involves assisting in the creation of retail spaces that embody the company's aesthetic. Candidates should have a degree in Interior Design or Architecture and hands-on experience. Responsibilities include designing store layouts and creating detailed plans throughout the build process. The position offers competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth within a collaborative environment.
At Neptune, we believe the spaces we create should feel as considered as the homes they inspire. Calm, welcoming and beautifully balanced – every detail matters. We are now looking for a Store Designer to join our Store Design team, helping us shape retail spaces that bring the Neptune way of living to life.
This is a hands‑on, collaborative role for an Interior Design/Interior Architecture graduate, with some previous experience. You'll be someone who loves thoughtful design, enjoys seeing ideas become reality, and understands how space influences how people feel.
You’ll support the design of new Neptune stores and spaces across our in‑house retail business, as well as selected UK and international franchise and wholesale locations. Working closely with colleagues across Design, Merchandising and Visual Merchandising, you’ll help ensure every space feels unmistakably Neptune from first sketch to final detail.
This role involves regular travel to UK stores, with some overnight stays. Occasional international travel may also be required, depending on project needs.
You’ll be educated to degree level in Interior Design or Interior Architecture, with at least a year’s experience in a design‑focused role, bringing both creativity and confidence to your work. Comfortable creating and amending AutoCAD files, you’ll have strong PC skills across AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel and Word, with a working knowledge of SketchUp an advantage. Naturally creative and full of initiative, you’ll combine a high level of organisation with real drive and enthusiasm, adapting quickly as priorities evolve. You’ll have a strong empathy for the brand and what it stands for, paired with outstanding communication skills – whether in person, over the phone or by email – and a thoughtful attention to detail that ensures everything you do is considered, clear and beautifully executed.
We are a growing business that encourages our people to grow with us. Neptune’s goal is to ensure we have a diverse and inclusive work environment, where all of our employees have equal access to opportunities and everyone’s voices are heard.
Founded in 1996 by friends John Sims‑Hilditch and Giles Redman, Neptune design and make pieces for your whole home. Recognised for their exacting standards, design‑led aesthetic and expert craftsmanship, they’re perhaps most known for kitchens – with heirloom‑worthy dressers not far behind. Neptune’s trademark ‘look’ is British: refined, simple, sturdy, and with an almost obsessive attention to detail. They’re also respected for their commitment to craft and quality. Put simply, they make things they’re proud of, and that are designed to last a lifetime.
