Job description

At Neptune, we believe the spaces we create should feel as considered as the homes they inspire. Calm, welcoming and beautifully balanced – every detail matters. We are now looking for a Store Designer to join our Store Design team, helping us shape retail spaces that bring the Neptune way of living to life.

This is a hands‑on, collaborative role for an Interior Design/Interior Architecture graduate, with some previous experience. You'll be someone who loves thoughtful design, enjoys seeing ideas become reality, and understands how space influences how people feel.

You’ll support the design of new Neptune stores and spaces across our in‑house retail business, as well as selected UK and international franchise and wholesale locations. Working closely with colleagues across Design, Merchandising and Visual Merchandising, you’ll help ensure every space feels unmistakably Neptune from first sketch to final detail.

This role involves regular travel to UK stores, with some overnight stays. Occasional international travel may also be required, depending on project needs.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the design of new retail spaces, ensuring each project reflects our brand guidelines and seasonal direction
  • Creating detailed design plans and specifications covering the full build journey – from demolition and structural works through to finishes, furniture and accessories
  • Designing store layouts that are both beautiful and commercial, informed by performance analysis and customer experience
  • Collaborating with Merchandising to refine layouts and improve store productivity
  • Coordinating closely with Visual Merchandising to ensure design intent is carried through consistently
  • Producing seasonal store designs in line with guidance from the Head of Design Services
  • Supporting the Commercial Projects team with kitchen and interior design work when required

You’ll be educated to degree level in Interior Design or Interior Architecture, with at least a year’s experience in a design‑focused role, bringing both creativity and confidence to your work. Comfortable creating and amending AutoCAD files, you’ll have strong PC skills across AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel and Word, with a working knowledge of SketchUp an advantage. Naturally creative and full of initiative, you’ll combine a high level of organisation with real drive and enthusiasm, adapting quickly as priorities evolve. You’ll have a strong empathy for the brand and what it stands for, paired with outstanding communication skills – whether in person, over the phone or by email – and a thoughtful attention to detail that ensures everything you do is considered, clear and beautifully executed.

What Benefits We Can Offer You
  • Generous Holiday Allowance
  • Option to purchase additional annual leave
  • Life Assurance
  • Enhanced maternity and paternity leave
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Generous new item and factory outlet discounts
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • Perkbox: Wellbeing Hub and Retail Discounts Portal
  • Your birthday day off
  • Day off if you become a Grandparent
  • A week off if you get married
  • Refer a friend scheme
  • Long service holiday allowance increase
  • Training Workshops
