Job summary

Loungers is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Sorrento Lounge, a lively cafe bar. In this role you’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver top-quality dishes, maintain a clean, efficient kitchen, and help develop junior staff.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients
• Strong kitchen skills across prep, hot and cold
• Good hygiene practices and food safety knowledge
• Ability to work at pace with limited supervision

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts
• Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and to high standards
• Own your section and manage prep, par, cleanliness, and hygiene
• Follow allergen processes and ensure kitchen compliance
• Support and develop junior chefs and peers
• Ensure every plate meets dish specs and quality
