Job summary

Loungers, the Cinco Lounge kitchen team, is seeking a Junior Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering high-quality dishes. You will help run smooth shifts, ensure prep is ready, and maintain kitchen standards with a focus on fresh ingredients and safety.

This role offers an hourly rate with tips, paid breaks, staff meals on every shift, and discounts from day one, with opportunities for career progression within Loungers’ growing brand across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience using fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills.
• Able to prep hot and cold items and maintain hygiene.
• Knowledge of allergen processes and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure prep is complete.
• Maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold food standards.
• Own your section and manage prep, par, cleanliness and safety.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure kitchen compliance.
• Help newer chefs develop their skills and confidence.
• Ensure each plate leaves the kitchen to spec.
