Job summary

Ormo Lounge, part of Loungers, is hiring a Junior Sous Chef to join the kitchen team. You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, help deliver great shifts, and ensure every dish leaves the pass to the highest standard.

This role offers hourly pay with tips, a flexible contract, free meals on shifts, and 50% off food and drinks from day one. A great next step for an experienced Chef de Partie or Senior Chef seeking more responsibility.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills.
• Able to work at pace with limited supervision.
• Natural team player with leadership potential.
• Experience as Junior Sous Chef or higher is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts.
• Help maintain a clean, well-organised kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Take ownership of your section, prep, par, cleanliness, hygiene and food safety at all times.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure the kitchen is compliant and safe.
• Support and work with the wider kitchen team, helping newer chefs develop their skills.
• Know the dish specs inside out and ensure every plate is up to standard.
