Job summary

Loungers is hiring a Junior Sous Chef for Martello Lounge, a local café bar. You’ll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef, helping the team deliver strong shifts and ensuring every dish leaves the pass to spec.

We offer hourly pay up to £13.30 plus tips, staff meals on every shift, 50% off food and drinks from day one, paid breaks and opportunities for growth within the Loungers group across England and Wales.

Qualifications

• Experience with fresh ingredients and strong kitchen skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work at pace.

Responsibilities

• Support Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver great shifts and ensure dishes go out to spec.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and uphold high food standards.
• Own your section, manage prep and par, hygiene and food safety at all times.
• Follow allergen processes and ensure kitchen compliance and safety.
• Support and coach newer team members to build confidence and skills.
• Know dish specs inside out and ensure every plate is pride-worthy.
