Qualifications

  • Experience developing structured dresses, tops and jackets is a plus.
  • A clear understanding of the design aesthetic of The Fold is required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Job description

The Fold is looking for a Junior Product Developer to work very closely with the Buying, Production and Garment Tech teams.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Design team with creating tech packs - filling in BOMs and specifications for each product.
  • Produce technical drawings for new styles
  • Raw material sourcing - updating suppliers with seasonal mood boards and directing fabric sourcing based on these
  • Responsible for trim sourcing and development
  • Helping to create alignment of trim standards across multiple suppliers
  • Launch tech packs directly with suppliers - ensuring sampling has been arranged and correct patterns sent or requested
  • Ensure all work is accurate and clear to facilitate seamless communication with manufacturers
  • Help build relationships with key new suppliers
  • Assisting in ordering sampling and raising sampling POs
  • Provide regular updates to designers on sample progress, material developments, and production challenges.
  • Update and maintain sampling and product trackers
  • Helping to update product BOMs following fittings and product sign-offs
Profile
  • A clear understanding of the design aesthetic of The Fold
  • Skilled with Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Strong MicrosoftOffice skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Team player who collaborates with ease
  • A strong organiser who prioritises with ease and understands the importance of excellent time management
  • Demonstrates a ‘can-do’ attitude to work
  • Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions
  • A sharp eye and attention to detail, as this is a fast‑paced role
  • Experience developing structured dresses, tops and jackets is a plus
