A non-profit organization in the Portsmouth area is seeking HR professionals to join their HR Advisory Board. This is a non-remunerated position where candidates will support the development of HR strategies and participate in shaping future HR practices. Ideal candidates should have a sound understanding of HR issues and a background in charity or NGO work is preferred. Meetings will be held quarterly in a hybrid format, allowing for flexibility in scheduling.

We are currently working with a client operating within the non-profit sector who are looking for applications for locally based HR Professionals in the Portsmouth and/or local area to help them with the shaping of their future HR practices as independent members of our HR Advisory Board.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Support the development of HR strategies for one of the oldest and most respected institutions helping to make a real difference to our employees lives.
  • Gain experience from a diverse group of professionals as they share expertise and shape innovative HR solutions.
  • Support the organisation in fostering an inclusive supportive and compassionate work environment.

What youll do:

  • Discuss strategic guidance on HR Policies and Procedures Pay and Reward reviews and Organisational Culture.
  • Advise on the alignment of HR practices with legal requirements and ethical standards.
  • Advocate for diversity inclusion and employee well-being initiatives.
  • Participate in shaping the future of HR practices within the organisation.

What were looking for:

  • An HR professional who is currently active within your own HR field of expertise.
  • It would be desirable to have a sound understanding of HR and employment issues across the City of Portsmouth and local surrounding area.
  • An understanding or background in Charity or NGO would be beneficial as would
  • Reward/Pay insights.

It is not essential for candidates to meet all the above requirements.

These are non-remunerated positions however reasonable expenses will be reimbursed.

The HR Advisory Board meets quarterly meetings are generally hybrid and currently held during normal working hours but timings would be flexible to accommodate members availability.
