Junior Engineering Geologist

Are you a junior geotechnical engineer, geo-environmental consultant or ground investigation specialist looking for the next step in your career? In a graduate or technician position looking for more responsibility and a step up? An established and specialist geotechnical/geo-environmental consultancy are seeking a Junior Engineering Geologist to join the team on a variety of projects.

This is a permanent role. Penguin Recruitment is operating as a Recruitment Agency in respect to this position.

Work arrangement: on site and in office, supervising drilling rigs, carrying out ground investigations, soil logging, groundwater and gas monitoring, writing interpretive reports and assisting more junior members of the team, among other daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise drilling rigs on site and in the office where required.
  • Carry out ground investigations and soil logging.
  • Monitor groundwater and gas levels.
  • Write interpretive reports and support more junior team members.
  • Contribute to varied projects across a niche team with increasing responsibility.
Qualifications
  • Have existing experience in the contaminated land/ground investigation industry.
  • Have a degree in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Geoscience, Environmental Science or a relevant subject.
  • Have a full UK driving licence.
  • A full right to work in the UK.
  • Be commutable to Exeter.
