ABOUT THE ROLE

M-Sport UK is a world-leading motorsport engineering company, responsible for designing, building and running championship-winning rally cars at the highest level of international competition.

We are now seeking a Junior Electrical Design Engineer to join our growing Electrical Design team. This role would suit a motivated graduate or early-career engineer looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

The role and responsibilities include:

• Delivering innovative electrical engineering solutions.
• Design advanced models and drawings of a variety of electrical components and wiring assemblies.
• Verification of designs through own calculations, analysis and CAE.
• Working alongside our Electrical Technicians with testing and evaluating new electrical components.
• Creating real or CAD mock up installations.
• Producing electrical component test procedures, assembly procedures and manufacturing Codes of Practice for Electrical Technicians.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for a self-motivated team player with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. The ideal candidate will be:

• Educated to MEng or BEng degree level in Electrical, Motorsport, or Automotive Engineering, and have good knowledge of 3D CAD, preferably CATIA V5.
• Have the fundamental knowledge of electrical systems and materials is essential.
• Have a meticulous attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship and team building skills, and share our determination to deliver the very best results.
• Pride yourself on delivering a high standard of performance and quality whilst working to strict deadlines in a time‑sensitive environment.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience in a Design Office setting on an industrial placement year, or hands on practical experience (either volunteering on race weekends or formula student) would be beneficial.
