Job description

The Digital Event Operations (DEO) department consists of three teams across US, Latin America and UK. DEO is part of the Playback Services and Operations org that is responsible for managing the end-to-end execution and real-time monitoring of live and VOD premiere streaming events. This team ensures seamless, high-quality streaming experiences by coordinating scheduling, playout workflows, detailed content & service monitoring and proactive issue resolution. We work closely with the Playback Service Engineering department, which develops the core playback infrastructure including content protection and CDN selection, as well as the Site Reliability Operations (SRO) department that are focused on end-to-end OTT platform support and incident management. The Junior Digital Analyst role supports an extensive suite of Live, VOD, OTT/Digital Playout via client applications. You will report to the Duty Operations Manager and be part of a team made up of Juniors, Analysts and Seniors. You will primarily focus on live Sports through our TNT Sports, Eurosport, Discovery Plus and HBO MAX brands. Think Olympics, Premier League, Champions League, Tennis Grand Slams and Tour de France as a start. You will also learn about our Cloud infrastructure and help support our major VOD (White Lotus, Euphoria, House of Dragon) and market launch releases. The position requires you to be on-site in Chiswick, London and is a shift-based role, requiring flexibility with working hours as weekends and public holidays are some of our busiest times. For major events/launches, you may be required to work overnight. You will be working as part of a unified team, which consists of members from multiple disciplines, to form a dynamic technology-focused team, capable of monitoring quality of service, quality of experience and non-linear output, as well as supporting digital OTT cloud infrastructure. You will be expected to use your operational analytics and incident management skills to provide support for all issue areas, working with support teams/engineers for a swift resolution to any technical issues. You will also be expected to support and educate your team members about new processes, while independently keeping your technical know-how up to date.

Responsibilities
  • Provide eyes on glass monitoring support during live events, aired on WBD's Direct to Consumer (DTC) propositions.
  • Conduct Pre/During/Post Live checks on assets.
  • Provide triage support by interrogating systems.
  • Escalate incidents internally within the team for further support.
  • Issue communications to business users in the event of an incident.
  • Provide daily incident status reporting to business users.
  • Update department support documentation promptly to reflect all changes (Knowledgebase, run books, etc..).
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in digital media.
  • Knowledge of OTT content systems and workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Confluence, MS Suite or similar computer software systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Digital Media, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Preferred: Multilingual, ideally with working knowledge of one or more European languages.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager.
