Job summary

An NHS healthcare provider in Chesterfield is looking for training level medics to join their integrated health and social care community. This role is designed for medics looking to gain surgical experience and consolidate their skills before advancing their careers. You will receive tailored training in emergency and elective surgery, participate in a full shift rota, and work across various locations within the community. Role Overview

This role is part of the integrated health and social care community across Derbyshire, where there are many opportunities to work across different locations and providers developing new and different skills. Whilst this role is initially based in Chesterfield there may be future opportunities to be based at different locations within the health and social care community which we may talk to you about in the future. The posts have been specifically designed for training level medics who would like to gain more surgical experience and consolidate their knowledge, skills and confidence prior to moving on to the next stage of their career, and for those looking to gain wider experience of the NHS and would be suitable for someone who has some surgical experience at Foundation or SHO level. We can offer training opportunities in both emergency and elective surgery. Some aspects of the role can be bespoke to the individual needs of the post-holder and tailored to take into account previous relevant experience, or achievement of requirements for application to specialty training. There is a full shift rota in place & applicants must be able to participate in the full shift pattern. The minimum skill requirement, including completion of UK Foundation Training Programme or FY3 equivalent post in General Surgery in the UK, is outlined on the attached Person Specification.
