Overview

We have an opportunity for a Junior Buyer to join our team based at our Head Office in Leicester. You will join us on a full time contract (37.5 hours), permanent basis and in return will receive a salary of up to £27,000 per annum and a Company Car.

You We are looking for an individual to join our Buying team who has proven experience at an assistant or junior level.

This role is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to progress their career and develop with the support of an experienced Buying team.

The Job

As a Junior Buyer, you will be an integral part of the team who will be fully immersed in forecasting, supplier negotiations and product development. Effective communication and teamwork will help you thrive in this role. You will report into the Buying Director but will work alongside the wider team in your day to day tasks. Aside from specific responsibilities listed below, you may be required to undertake other tasks which help us to deliver a high standard experience to our customers.

Responsibilities
  • Manage relationships internally and externally. It is essential to build strong relationships with our supplier base to maximise new opportunities.
  • Keep on top of the latest trends and monitor our competitors to maintain commercial awareness.
  • Work closely with our supplier base to develop a well-balanced product range
  • Manage and review product pricing to ensure that our prices are competitive as well as maximising margins.
  • Review trading performance regularly and act proactively to optimise and identify opportunities and mitigate any risks.
  • Oversee and support the development of an assistant buyer.
