Job Description

Designation: Junior Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• The candidate will be responsible for financial modelling, financial analysis, and forming an investment thesis on the sector the analyst is expected to work on
• The candidate will be responsible to track down and analyse every industry/company data point that is available in the public domain
• The candidate will be responsible for making presentations and presenting convincing ideas to the whole team
• The candidate will also be entrusted with a few administrative responsibilities shared by all members of the team

Key Skills and Requirements

• Keen interest in capital markets
• Candidate must have the ability to fully understand businesses and the sectors in which they operate
• Strong skills in financial modelling, analysing income statements‑balance sheet‑cash flows and valuing companies
• Should have prior experience of building operating and financial models of companies and industries
• The candidate must know all the basic principles of equity valuation
• Exceptional skills in advanced Excel and PowerPoint
• Attention to detail is a way of life at Matsya, and thus should be for the candidate also
