Job description

From fixing faults to replacing items, joining our Technical Services team means you can be a superhero for families during their break. The dedicated team provide a speedy response to any service breakdown while delivering excellent care, so our guests can relax knowing they’re being taken care of.

JOINER | £14.87 per hour

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Technical Service team as a Maintenance Technician / Joiner. This role will be fully integrated within the Maintenance team ensuring guest standards are constantly improved.

Responsibilities
  • To carry out work instructed by the Departmental Maintenance Managers, Assistant Manager or Helpdesk
  • To undertake planned works, working to an agreed programme, within accommodation units on changeover days and central building facilities
  • Completing reactive work orders in the allotted time scale for each set of works
  • Working within and as part of the Technical Services Maintenance team and proactively identifying and consulting on task trends and recurring issues which may cause future maintenance problems
  • Working closely with and fully coordinating works with the Accommodation Services teams
  • The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills as you will regularly come into contact with both colleagues and guests. Trade experience is essential as technical knowledge will be required.

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your days and hours of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.

Essential requirements
  • Full driving licence held for a minimum of 6 months
  • Ability to execute work without supervision
  • Ability to work effectively and as part of a team in dynamic and high-pressure situations
  • NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery
Desirable requirements
  • NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery
