A leading construction company in Crewe is seeking experienced Joiners / Carpenters for temporary positions specializing in roof installation and first fix joinery on new build housing projects. Responsibilities include installation of timber roofs and maintaining safety standards. Ideal candidates will have a valid CSCS card, own tools, and transport. Competitive pay at £23phr.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Joiner / Carpenter on new build housing sites.
• Strong experience with roof construction and first fix.
• Full understanding of construction drawings and joinery practices.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Own tools and transport.

Responsibilities

• Installation of timber roofs, trusses, and structural joinery elements.
• Carrying out first fix joinery, including floors, studwork, door frames, staircases, and window boards.
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and site plans.
• Working closely with site managers, other trades, and subcontractors.
• Maintaining a safe and tidy work environment in line with health and safety standards.
• Ensuring all work is completed to specification and within deadlines.

About the Role
