Job description
Overview

As a voluntary-aided school of over 2,000 students including a thriving Sixth Form of over 500 students, JFS is one of the top schools in the country for both attainment and progress, but more importantly, a place where we hope children grow into excellent adults prepared for everything ahead of them. Named the 2023 Top-Performing state school of the year in the 'Sunday Times' list as well as achieving a Progress 8 score of +1.20, placing it in the top 30 secondary schools nationally, we are proud of our results, but recognise that they only form a small part of what schools should aim to achieve.

Role

We are looking for an Israel Educator to join our JIEP Team for four days a week for an initial 1 year fixed term casual contract. The primary purpose of this role is to design, implement, and deliver a comprehensive Israel education programme at JFS, fostering a deep connection between students and the history, culture, identity, and modern-day thriving state of Israel. The role, which will sit within the informal education team, will involve a close collaboration with JNF UK to create meaningful, engaging, and consistent educational experiences that infuse the school with a love for Israel and strengthens students' connection with the land, both in its historical context and its modern-day achievements. The successful candidate will take full responsibility for the programme's development and execution, ensuring it aligns with the school's vision and educational goals while promoting the mission of JNF UK. You will collaborate closely with a team of colleagues, and we will provide full support to help you succeed in your role. We believe that JFS is an excellent place to work and develop but you should not just take us at our word. If you have any questions at all then please do contact me directly using david.moody@Jfs.brent.sch.uk and I will be happy to organise a visit for you or answer any questions that you may have. Nothing is more important to us than finding like-minded people to join us and so please do get in touch.
