IT Support Engineer

Location: Luton, Bedfordshire

Salary: Up to £32,000 per year

Skills and Experience
  • Minimum of two years experience in a similar IT support role.
  • Understanding of standard computing systems and networking principles.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Office 365 and basic TCP/IP networking knowledge.
  • Good understanding of cloud technologies such as Azure.
  • Windows 11 and Server exposure in a corporate environment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common issues with various devices and software.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact clearly with team members and business users.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, including prioritising and adapting to both planned and reactive work.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or PowerShell is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience using service desk tools and remote support software.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and SLAs.
The Opportunity

My client is a hospitality and events business based in Luton and they are looking for an IT Support Engineer on a permanent basis.

The initial purpose of this new role is to support the client with all of its IT requirements, securing the IT network and providing core support to all staff members.

The IT Support Engineer will work alongside and support the IT Manager in providing technical assistance, troubleshooting day‑to‑day issues and helping to ensure the smooth functioning of the company’s IT systems and infrastructure.

This position requires a good understanding of various hardware and software technologies, excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external vendors.
