Job summary

Arvato is hiring an IT Support Engineer to join our IT team at the Birmingham area. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining IT infrastructure and delivering first-class support to colleagues across the business.

You will troubleshoot hardware and software, manage AD accounts, deploy devices with Modern Workplace tools, and work with Microsoft 365 environments. The position offers growth in a dynamic, collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Experience in an IT Support Engineer, Desktop Support or Systems Administrator role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Group Policy.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Defender and Modern Workplace technologies.
• Good understanding of networking principles including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP and VPNs.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for IT support via our ITSM system.
• Troubleshooting hardware, software, network and user account issues.
• Building and deploying laptops and desktops using Modern Workplace technologies.
• Installing, configuring and maintaining IT hardware, software and telecommunications equipment.
• Managing Active Directory user accounts, permissions and Group Policy.
• Supporting Microsoft Intune, Defender for Endpoint and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Performing server maintenance, backups and ensuring system security.
• Maintaining IT documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Working closely with third-party suppliers to resolve technical issues.
• Identifying opportunities to improve IT processes and the end-user experience.
