Job summary

The Royal Yachting Association Ltd is seeking an IT Support Apprentice to begin a 22-month Level 3 IT Support Technician Apprenticeship. You will learn to support Microsoft 365, Windows, hardware, and networking, while assisting with device deployment and user account administration within a supportive team.

You'll be mentored by IT professionals, attend the PETA training centre in Cosham, and gain practical experience shaping your IT career in a real-world environment.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in maths and English with grade C/4 or equivalent.
• Strong communication skills, both spoken and written.
• Customer-focused approach with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to first-line support requests from internal users.
• Assist with Microsoft 365 apps, Windows OS, hardware, printers, and mobile devices.
• Log and monitor support requests in the service desk system.
• Escalate incidents to IT team members as needed.
• Assist with setup and configuration of laptops and peripherals.
• Support user account administration (password resets, access).
• Participate in routine system maintenance and security checks.
• Contribute to user guides and knowledge base articles.
• Support meeting room tech and event IT requirements.
