Job summary

Hudson Hill Consulting in Runcorn is offering an IT Support Apprentice role to begin an IT career. You will support the IT helpdesk, learn to troubleshoot hardware and software, and work towards a Level 3 IT Support qualification.

You will gain hands-on experience solving everyday tech issues, logging incidents, and developing customer service skills within a supportive team. 37.5 hours per week with full training and mentorship.

Qualifications

• 3 GCSEs at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
• GCSE Maths and English at grades 3+ (D or above).
• Must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for users needing IT assistance via phone, email, or ticketing system.
• Log and track incidents and service requests accurately.
• Help diagnose and resolve basic IT issues related to desktop/laptop hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Assist with account administration tasks like password resets and user access requests.
• Escalate more complex issues to senior support engineers as appropriate.
• Learn and follow internal processes for incident management and service delivery.
• Support the setup and deployment of new equipment for users.
• Maintain professionalism and a strong customer service attitude at all times.
