Job summary

Primary Goal is recruiting a Junior IT Service Desk Apprentice to gain hands-on IT support experience while training toward the Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship. You will learn through mentorship and work on our SaaS platform, assisting customers and supporting integrations.

The role is full-time, on-site at the Chester office, with a salary of £23,000–£25,000 DOE. GCSE English and Maths are required, with opportunities for progression into network and digital roles.

Qualifications

• A strong interest in IT and problem solving.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel or a willingness to learn quickly.
• Great communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Logical approach to troubleshooting technical issues.
• Ability to work as part of a team and ask for help when needed.
• Any relevant IT coursework or qualifications (e.g., GCSEs, A-levels, or equivalent) would be a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with IT support queries via email, chat, and phone.
• Learn to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues.
• Help with data uploads and formatting information in Excel.
• Support setting up and managing Single Sign-On (SSO) and other integrations.
• Document common issues and update the knowledge base for self-service.
• Collaborate with Customer Support and Account Management.
• Identify potential system improvements and feed ideas to the team.
