Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking an IT Security Manager based in Yorkshire. This role primarily involves leading technical vulnerability assessments, managing IT security incidents, and overseeing the cybersecurity risk register. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of senior-level ICT experience and a professional management qualification. The position offers a pay rate of £700 a day and mainly remote work options.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years’ experience working at a senior level in an ICT environment.
• 2 years’ experience in the management of staff or projects.
• Advanced in using IT service management tools to accurately capture data relating to ITIL processes.

Main Duties / Responsibilities

Lead technical vulnerability assessments of IT systems and processes, identifying potential vulnerabilities, to make recommendations to control any risks identified.

Lead and respond rapidly to IT security incidents, including computer forensics for evidence gathering and preservation.

Oversee information and Cyber security risk register and carry out actions to mitigate risks identified.

Liaise with external security agencies where required and ensure that any information requested is provided on a timely and secure basis.

Job Requirements

At least 3 years’ experience working at a senior level in an ICT environment includes 2 years’ experience in the management of staff or projects.

Professional Management qualification.

Able to make complex decisions and prioritise the teams’ workload to deliver improved outcomes in line with the IT Services strategy.
