The role of the IT Project Manager is to drive transformational change across our IT landscape, ensuring successful integration into our business. The IT Project Manager will lead the delivery of projects to a high standard, within the constraints of schedule, budget, and scope while minimizing risk and ensuring adherence to established and evolving methodologies. Working closely with IT Team Leads, the IT PMO, IT Resource Management, business analysis, technical teams and business stakeholders, this role plays a pivotal part in steering the successful execution of technology projects that are critical to our strategic and operational goals. This role requires a blend of technical proficiency, strong project management acumen, leadership, and communication capabilities for the delivery of IT projects from conceptualisation to completion. The IT Project Manager must effectively partner with sponsors and stakeholders to meet project goals and deliver expected outcomes and business value.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Leading the successful delivery of business and IT sponsored projects from conceptualisation to project close.
  • Navigate the organization\'s culture, structure, and dynamics to bridge silos effectively.
  • Collaborate across departments to align stakeholders toward common goals.
  • Make quick, informed decisions, balancing risk with opportunity, often with incomplete information.
  • Work with internal and external teams to build support and achieve intended outcomes.
  • Provide strong communication and leadership of project teams, including technical personnel involved in design and implementation of IT services.
  • Empower and inspire others to deliver successful change initiatives by offering vision, direction, feedback and support.
  • Follow IT PMO and project delivery governance standards, ensuring current project documents and change control.
  • Ensure projects deliver value to customers, meeting their needs and expectations.

Essential

  • Bachelor\'s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, or equivalent qualifications/experience.
  • Project Management certification: PMP or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of proven IT Project Manager or similar experience, with ability to manage multiple projects and delivery through technology partners.
  • Strong understanding of project management techniques and methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid) and ability to tailor approach per project.
  • Proficiency with PM software tools and MS Office suite.
  • Ability to bring IT and business minds together to solve technical challenges and develop creative solutions.
  • Fundamentals of system integration, software development lifecycle, and data transfer between systems.
  • Sound judgment, urgency, and commitment to high ethical standards, regulatory compliance, customer service, and business integrity.
  • Poise and composure under pressure.

Desirable

  • Experience in a corporate IT team managing multiple IT projects across geographies and cross-functional teams.
  • Scaled Agile, Scrum Alliance or other agile certification.
