About the Role

You will be responsible for the technical delivery of transformational network projects on one or more of BT's large public sector accounts in the UK. You will help our customer align their Network strategy to their business strategy using a common methodology.

Responsibilities

• Help customers align Network strategy to business strategy using a common methodology.
• Create standardized or customised network designs across various areas, working on specific platform designs and customer solutions.
• Use recognised tools and methodologies to create innovative network solutions for customers.
• Collaborate with Practice Managers and Technical Leads to design and deliver seamless network solutions.
• Carry out pre‑sales activities, planning and implementations across a wider range of ICT infrastructure elements (security, WAN optimisation, load balancing, etc.).
• Collaborate with other designers and engineers to resolve design and implementation issues and provide technical consultancy for BT’s customers.
• Interpret customer needs, assess the full requirements and identify solutions to both standard and non‑standard requirements.
• Provide technical consultancy for designing secure connectivity and collaboration platforms.

Qualifications

• CCIE qualified or CCNP with aspiration to earn CCIE.
• Experience in a key network delivery role for major customers with complex network solutions.
• Expertise in Global WAN, LAN & WLAN design for private and public sector companies.
• Strong technical background across Network Architecture layers and comfortable presenting networks and services as an integrated solution.
• Experience creating high‑quality technical designs, customer‑facing proposals and detailed cost models.
• Experience in transition and transformation thought leadership for major customers seeking to reduce costs, remove business risks and improve customer experience.
• Ability to explain difficult technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
