I'm working with a specialist IT consultancy that partners with mid‑sized organisations across finance, professional services, and technology. With continued growth and increasing demand for secure, scalable infrastructure, they are now seeking an IT Manager to lead their internal IT function and support client‑facing delivery.

Role

This is a leadership position with hands‑on responsibility for IT operations, infrastructure, and security alignment. You'll oversee day‑to‑day service delivery, manage a small team, and ensure systems are resilient, compliant, and future‑ready. You'll also play a key role in shaping technology strategy and supporting consultancy projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the internal IT team, ensuring high‑quality service delivery
• Oversee infrastructure (cloud + on‑prem), networking, and core systems
• Drive IT governance, compliance, and security best practices (ISO27001, GDPR, SOC)
• Manage vendor relationships and third‑party service providers
• Support consultancy projects with technical input and client engagement
• Contribute to strategic planning, budgeting, and technology roadmaps

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in IT management or senior IT leadership roles
• Strong background in infrastructure, networking, and cloud technologies (Azure/AWS)
• Solid understanding of IT governance, compliance, and security frameworks
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Experience managing budgets, vendors, and cross‑functional teams
• Certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, or CISM are advantageous but not essential
