Role

The IT Infrastructure Team Lead will lead the College\'s Infrastructure & Systems sub-team, line manage the Infrastructure Engineers, ensure effective delivery of technical services, and take overall accountability for the College\'s IT infrastructure environment.

The role combines leadership and technical expertise across networks, servers, cloud platforms, endpoint management, and security, while also overseeing the maintenance, optimisation, and backup of the College\'s SQL server environment.

This role is both strategic and hands-on, providing escalation support, delivering projects, and ensuring the College\'s IT services are secure, resilient, and fit for purpose.

Cardinal Newman College is a wonderful place to work, and this is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced candidate to join our friendly and well-established Networks department.

The Networks department is looking for someone who has a degree-level qualification in IT (or related field), or substantial equivalent professional experience, proven ability to lead or supervise technical staff and strong technical knowledge across networks, servers, cloud, and endpoint management.

You should display the values, attitudes, and behaviours consistent with the Catholic Ethos of the College and have a commitment to equality/diversity and the safeguarding of young people and vulnerable adults.

Terms and Conditions

Hours: 37 hours per week, full year. Starting and finishing times as agreed.

Salary: The post will be paid on the Sixth Form Colleges Support Staff Pay Spine at points 21 to 24 - pro rata to £37,401 to £40,462 per annum. Negotiations are ongoing in relation to the Support staff pay award. Once this is agreed and implemented the salary will be uplifted to reflect this.

For an outstanding candidate the college will consider a \"golden hello\" payment of up to 10% of the annual salary.
