Job summary

Apogee Corporation, a leading UK managed workplace services provider, seeks an IT Field Technician to join the Managed Desktop Services team. You will diagnose, repair and maintain laptops, desktops, RPOS systems and related hardware across on-site visits and remote support, ensuring quick resolutions and high customer satisfaction.

In this hands-on role you will install and configure operating systems (primarily Windows), troubleshoot hardware and software faults, and keep thorough repair

Qualifications

• Proven experience in laptop or PC hardware repair.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software and operating systems (Windows essential).
• Experience using diagnostic tools and fault-finding techniques.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults across laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems including Windows.
• Support users onsite and remotely, providing clear and practical guidance.
• Carry out repairs, component replacements, and system upgrades.
• Troubleshoot printers, connectivity issues, and RPOS hardware.
• Complete accurate job records, service notes, and repair documentation.
• Follow data protection, backup, and security procedures.
• Escalate more complex issues when required.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and communication.
