Job summary

Apogee Corporation Ltd. is seeking an IT Field Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain laptops, desktops, RPOS systems and related hardware. You will split time between onsite visits and remote support to resolve issues quickly and keep customer systems running smoothly.

You will work in a service-led environment where quality, communication and first-time fix matter. A typical pattern is Monday–Friday, 08:30–17:30 with a one-hour lunch break.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in laptop or PC hardware repair.
• Strong understanding of hardware, software, and operating systems (Windows essential, macOS/Linux beneficial).
• Experience using diagnostic tools and fault-finding techniques.
• Confident troubleshooting across hardware and basic networking issues.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload.
• Full, clean driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software faults on laptops, desktops and peripherals.
• Install, configure and maintain operating systems including Windows and common platforms.
• Support users onsite and remotely with clear, practical guidance.
• Carry out repairs, component replacements and system upgrades.
• Troubleshoot printers, connectivity issues and RPOS hardware.
• Complete accurate job records, service notes and repair documentation.
• Follow data protection, backup and security procedures.
• Escalate complex issues when required.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and communication.
• Keep up to date with hardware tools, technologies and repair methods.
