Job summary

A healthcare IT service provider is seeking an IT Support Specialist in Gloucester for a fixed-term role. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to the Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Trust, managing incidents, troubleshooting, and assisting with the migration to a central Microsoft 365 tenant. Candidates should possess relevant IT qualifications and experience, with strong organisational skills and the ability to work autonomously. This position does not offer visa sponsorship.

Qualifications

  • Educated to Degree level in a relevant computing or business management discipline or substantial experience in a relevant role.
  • Good general level of education particularly in English and Mathematics.
  • Experience of ITIL Service Management.
  • Relevant Microsoft 365 Administrator qualification or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

  • Utilise knowledge, skills and judgement to provide a resolution.
  • Deal with all calls received and ensure recording and management.
  • Support colleagues with the migration to the NHS central tenant.

Job Summary

Fixed‑term (12 months) role providing IT support to staff of the Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves troubleshooting, incident and problem management, and supporting the migration from a local Microsoft 365 tenant to the NHS central tenant while travelling across sites in Gloucestershire.

Responsibilities
  • Utilise knowledge, skills and judgement to provide a resolution where possible or, if unable, assign the call to the appropriate team.
  • Deal with all calls received, ensuring they are recorded and dealt with appropriately and within agreed SLA’s.
  • Support colleagues as the organisation migrates from a local Microsoft 365 email tenant to the NHS central tenant.
Experience
  • Experience in a similar IT support role, together with relevant experience in IT support, project tools and environments.
  • Experience of working with suppliers from a range of technical functions such as servers, desktops, network, etc.
  • Self‑motivated with the ability to motivate and empower others to achieve specific goals.
  • Proven organisational and administration skills.
  • Effective change agent with ability to be part of a team through significant programmes of change.
  • Physical handling of computer equipment, particularly laptops, PCs and printers.
  • Experience of using imaging software and stock management systems.
Qualifications
