IQA Assessor: Full Time, Permanent, Based in Newark

We are seeking ambitious, outstanding candidates to join our staff at United Colleges Group. We are a forward-thinking education provider and our mission is to deliver outstanding, world class education and skills.

About You

The IQA Assessor will manage a caseload of apprentices by monitoring attendance, progression, achievement and completion, organising pastoral support as required and by working with all parties involved to resolve any issues that may affect successful completion of the programmes. The IQA Assessor will coordinate achievement of all aspects of apprenticeship standards or frameworks, to include quality assurance where appropriate, ensuring learners achieve on time, and in-line with college targets. The successful applicants will develop individual action plans including the setting of smart targets tailored to meet apprentices\' needs while maintaining accurate records in line with the College requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Analyse and manage a caseload of apprentices, monitoring attendance, progression, achievement and completion.
  • Organise pastoral support as required and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve issues affecting completion.
  • Coordinate achievement of apprenticeship standards or frameworks, including quality assurance where appropriate.
  • Ensure learners achieve on time and in-line with college targets.
  • Develop individual action plans with SMART targets tailored to apprentices\' needs and maintain accurate records per College requirements.
Qualifications
  • Hold a relevant vocational qualification at or above level 3 and hold an Assessor award and IQA award
  • Have relevant up-to-date industrial/subject knowledge and an understanding of industry and employment opportunities
  • Have knowledge of Ofsted, apprenticeship and AEB funding
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Have excellent organisational and administrative skills and be able to manage and organise priorities, working as part of a team to ensure quality provision and timely and successful outcomes
  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service and demonstrating problem-solving attributes for apprentices, employers and other key stakeholders
