We are harnessing sophisticated portfolio analytics, innovative behavioural psychology and cutting-edge UX/UI to create a revolutionary experience and transformational outcomes for our users. The business was founded in 2017 by three successful entrepreneurs and business-builders with diverse experiences and skill-sets in Technology, Corporate Advice and Investment Management and is backed by some of Europe’s leading investors.

Team Overview

The Investments team embodies this philosophy, combining deep market understanding with a commitment to clients’ long-term prosperity. We translate complex markets into strategies that feel grounded, transparent, and aligned with what truly matters to our clients.

The team designs, manages, and delivers Y TREE’s full investment offering – defining the firm’s Investment Philosophy and bringing it to life within clients’ portfolios. It is organised into three core areas: Public Markets, Private Markets, and future investment services that Y TREE may develop as the business evolves.

The Role
  • Support the delivery and maintenance of Y TREE’s public and private market investment offerings in line with the firm’s investment philosophy.
  • Contribute to the design, monitoring, and refinement of investment strategies, benchmarks, and risk frameworks.
  • Collaborate on investment research, portfolio construction, and rebalancing processes, including the Rebalanced Portfolio Service (RPS).
  • Assist with the analysis of performance, attribution, and market conditions to support strategic recommendations.
  • Draft internal and client-facing commentary on investment positioning, performance, and market outlooks.
  • Participate in client presentations, workshops, and internal training sessions to enhance understanding of Y TREE’s investment approach.
  • Contribute to the development of new investment products or enhancements that expand client adoption and AUM.
  • Help oversee daily and periodic investment operations (rebalancing, trading, data validation, and exception handling).
  • Work closely with colleagues across Investments, Financial Modelling, Product, Operations, Marketing, and Risk to deliver a cohesive client experience.
The Technical Bit
  • Experience: 4–6 years of relevant experience in investment management, wealth management, or portfolio strategy – ideally within a firm serving HNW or UHNW clients.
  • Qualifications: Degree in finance, economics, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree and/or CFA qualification (or progression toward) is strongly preferred.
  • Certification: Sufficient qualifications to obtain FCA certification for client dealing (CF30) responsibilities (for example;IMC 1 & 2).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office – particularly Excel for portfolio analytics and data manipulation. Experience with Python or similar programming languages is advantageous. Experience with investment/portfolio management tools (Reuters Eikon) preferred.
  • Client Experience: Experience in client-facing or advisory interactions, demonstrating professionalism and confidence in engaging with sophisticated clients.
  • Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong analytical mindset, excellent written communication, and the ability to translate complex investment concepts into clear, client-relevant narratives. Ability to argue investments from an evidence-based perspective.
What’s in it for you?
  • Once eligible, you’ll be able to enroll onto our private healthcare plan through Vitality. This includes perks like 50% off premium gym memberships and access to their exclusive rewards programme.
  • Support for your mental health and wellbeing through our employee assistance programme.
  • 25 days of annual leave per year. This is 25 days each year where we expect you to turn your phone off and switch off; we would never ask you to book leave for a doctor’s appointment or to see your children’s school plays.
  • Regular team socials to help you switch off from work and get to know your colleagues in an environment away from your desk. We ensure socials are well-balanced and offer a variety of activities to suit different needs so you always feel welcome.
  • A welcoming, dog-friendly London office with appropriate spaces to cater for those with varying needs in the form of various breakout spaces and silent booths.
  • A 3% employer pension contribution as standard, with generous additional employer contributions if you choose to make your pension contributions via salary sacrifice.
  • As well as, a range of family-friendly policies, support towards professional qualifications, electric car schemes and more!
