This role is suited to an individual with a strong background in programme delivery and change leadership across complex environments, specifically with experience in pensions, investments or asset management.

The Role – What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Programme Manager, you’ll oversee the full programme lifecycle—from planning and governance through to benefits realisation. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing clear and values-led leadership to ensure effective programme delivery and an enhanced colleague experience.
  • Managing complex, multi-disciplinary strategic programmes from inception to completion.
  • Developing and executing delivery plans that align with organisational goals.
  • Leading stakeholder engagement and coordination across internal teams, external partners, suppliers and Board-level sponsors.
  • Driving effective governance, assurance, reporting and benefits tracking through established frameworks.
  • Promoting consistency in change delivery across the organisation through coaching, mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Providing operational oversight and challenge to project sponsors and delivery teams.
  • Overseeing risk identification, mitigation planning and issue resolution.
  • Ensuring successful outcomes and seamless transition into business-as-usual operations.
What You’ll Bring

We’re looking for someone who combines big-picture thinking with hands-on delivery. You will need:

  • Extensive experience leading large-scale change programmes within complex, regulated environments.
  • A strong background in financial services or a comparable sector.
  • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including Executive and Board levels.
  • Expertise in managing interdependencies, governance, benefits realisation and reporting.
  • A confident and collaborative leadership style with a focus on building capability across teams.
What’s On Offer

You’ll join a supportive, purpose-led organisation that values innovation, sustainability and long-term thinking. Benefits include:

  • 30 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Private healthcare (Vitality) and Employee Assistance Programme
  • Company pension scheme and critical illness cover
  • Life assurance (6x salary)
  • Hybrid working and on-site gym access
  • Cycle to work scheme and sustainable travel incentives
  • Generous professional development support, including funded qualifications
  • Central Leeds office location, just minutes from the train station
  • Discounts at local shops, gyms, restaurants and more
