Robertson Bell are recruiting on behalf of a fantastic Education Trust. This role offers the chance to take on a broad range of finance responsibilities while working closely with the Finance Manager. You’ll play a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, supporting budget holders, and maintaining strong financial processes across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation of management accounts through reconciliations, journals, and variance analysis.
  • Contribute to accurate payroll processing by liaising with providers and ensuring financial records are kept up to date.
  • Partner with managers across the organisation to review budgets, monitor spend and provide clear financial insight.
  • Assist with external reporting requirements, audits, and compliance processes.
  • Oversee elements of transactional finance, including invoicing, payments, and credit control.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience working within a Multi-Academy Trust (essential).
  • Solid experience in reconciliations, reporting, and financial controls.
  • Experience in journal posting, balance sheet reconciliation and overseeing accounts payable.
  • High attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
