Job description
Overview

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Islington to assist with the appointment of an Interim Mechanical Engineer on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at the client’s discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £239.55 - £314.00 per day

Responsibilities
  • To provide input on mechanical and BMS strategy, and to provide input on any changes which may be required to existing BMS strategies
  • To undertake commissioning reports of new installations to ensure installations are operating in line with system design criteria
  • Analysis of existing BMS platform to help effectively and efficiently control plant and equipment in the council plantrooms and working closely with other engineers to ensure the graphics, software and control panels that comprise the larger BMS are identifying correctly how plant is performing
  • To provide technical representation and performance reports of the communal heating system where required for committees, area forums, working parties, client organisations, tenant associations, external agencies and other project stakeholders of system
  • To arrange and attend stakeholder meetings as required
  • Represent the Snr Mechanical Engineer with clients and other stakeholders
Qualification
  • Qualified as a Chartered Engineer or full member of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers, with considerable relevant experience
