Interim Management Accountant

6 Month Fixed-term Contract

Salary : Day rate of £200 - £250

Location : North-West Surrey (Hybrid – 3 days in office)

Apointe are proud to be working in partnership with a high-growth Group to hire an Interim Management Accountant to provide essential operational continuity during a significant finance function consolidation. As Management Accountant, you’ll deliver critical month-end reporting and contribute to a major strategic system implementation. In a project-focused and transitional environment, your expertise will be key to securing stability and shaping the future financial infrastructure.

What You’ll Do :
  • Seamless Transition : Manage the detailed handover and process documentation to ensure operational stability.
  • Month-End Continuity : Ensure the accurate and uninterrupted delivery of the full month-end cycle.
  • Core Accounting : Handle essential functions : accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and inter-company cost allocations.
  • System Implementation : Act as a key resource supporting a large-scale new ERP system implementation project.
  • Process Stabilisation : Refine and stabilise financial processes during integration and pre-system deployment.
What You’ll Bring :
  • Demonstrable practical experience in a Management Accountant role.
  • Strong functional expertise in all core accounting duties.
  • Experience or strong interest in supporting a financial systems migration project.
  • Proven ability to document processes and manage an independent workload.
  • Practical experience and capability prioritised over formal qualifications (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
