Job summary

A public sector consultancy is seeking an experienced HR Manager to support local authority projects in Essex for a minimum of 6 months. The role includes leading the rollout of a Performance Management Policy and various HR projects, alongside managing HR contracts. Ideal candidates should have public sector experience and proven project management skills. This hybrid position requires on-site attendance 2-3 days a week in South Essex.

Qualifications

• Experience in rolling out a new Performance Management Framework.
• Background in UK Public sector, ideally government.
• Strong knowledge in managing HR projects and data analysis.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced HR Manager to support an Essex based local authority for at least 6 months.

Your key deliverables during this time will be:

1. Lead on the roll out of a Performance Management Policy and Framework
2. Supporting the Head of HR in managing HR contracts – his will include attending meetings, preparing reports, benchmarking other providers, creatively working on maximising returns
3. Ad hoc HR projects that come through which would likely be – Employee benefits, Equalities reports, Agency reports,
4. Use MI data to compile regular board level reports

To be considered, your CV must show:

• That you have rolled out a new Performance Management Framework in a project management capacity
• UK Public sector experience – ideally in government
• That you have a strong background in managing various small HR projects
• Data analysis and report writing experience

This is a hybrid role where you will be on site 2-3 days a week in South Essex and the rest of the week is from home
