We are seeking an experienced and proactive Housing Project Manager to join a dynamic local authority team in South London. This is a key interim role focused on delivering housing-related projects that support the council’s strategic objectives around affordable housing, regeneration, and community development.
Your new role

  • Lead and manage housing development and regeneration projects from inception to completion.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, external consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Monitor project budgets, timelines, and risks, ensuring delivery within scope and compliance with local authority standards.
  • Prepare and present reports, business cases, and updates to senior management and elected members.
  • Ensure projects align with housing strategy, planning policy, and community needs.

  • What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience in housing project management within a local authority or public sector setting.
  • Strong understanding of housing development, planning processes, and regeneration.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in project management, housing, or construction (e.g., PRINCE2, RICS, CIH).
