Interim Head of Space Strategy, Planning and Delivery Coordination (CC13288)

University of Bath, Bath

We are seeking an Interim Head of Space Strategy, Planning and Delivery Coordination to drive the university’s ambitious space change programme. The role is a fixed‑term, full‑time position of 12 months based in the Space and Sustainability team (within the VC Office) and will work closely with faculties, Campus Infrastructure and Campus Services to improve space utilisation, quality and experience while supporting sustainability priorities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement policies for managing and using space effectively.
  • Establish systems to collect, analyse and present management information to inform space decision‑making.
  • Build a culture of improved space use throughout the university community.
  • Identify and deliver key interventions that align with institutional priorities and deliver measurable improvements.
  • Collaborate with small teams and external networks to drive projects and initiatives forward.
Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and delivering space programmes.
  • Strong knowledge of space practices, space design and innovative spatial solutions.
  • Ability to develop and apply policies, and to manage data for decision support.
  • Experience fostering a culture of space optimisation and engagement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proactive approach to working in multidisciplinary teams.
