A rapidly evolving group of businesses in Leeds is undergoing a major systems and process transformation, and we’re seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to provide stability, leadership, and hands‑on support during a critical period.

This is a broad, all‑encompassing FC role — ideal for someone who can operate at pace, bring structure, and take ownership from day one.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the finance function through a period of systems and process change.
  • Full ownership of month‑end close, management accounts and financial reporting.
  • Oversee transactional finance, ensuring robust controls and timely delivery.
  • Support systems transformation activity, contributing to process improvement and data integrity.
  • Business partner across the group to drive performance, challenge assumptions and provide financial insight.
  • Manage cash flow, balance sheet integrity, and compliance requirements.
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure the finance team remains aligned and effective during change.
The Ideal Candidate
  • A seasoned Financial Controller with experience in multi‑entity or group environments.
  • Strong technical grounding with the ability to “get under the hood” of the numbers.
  • Proven ability to manage systems change, finance transformation or ERP transitions.
  • Hands‑on, detail‑focused and able to maintain BAU delivery while improvement work is ongoing.
  • Immediately available or on a short notice period.
