Job summary

A Birmingham based Multi-Academy Trust is seeking an Interim Financial Controller for an initial 6-month contract. This role involves producing and consolidating management accounts, completing reconciliations, and supporting Business Managers in schools. Candidates should ideally be CCAB qualified or equivalent and have experience in a School or Academy setting, specifically with IRIS/PS Financials. The position offers a daily rate between £300 and £500, inside IR35, with an on-site requirement.

Qualifications

• CCAB qualified or equivalent (QBE or PQ will be considered).
• Experience in producing and consolidating management accounts.
• Previous work in a School or Academy Trust setting is essential.

We are pleased to be supporting a Multi-Academy Trust in Birmingham to recruit an Interim Financial Controller, for an initial 6 month contract. This role is paying £300 - £500 per day (inside of IR35 & Umbrella).

A Birmingham based Multi-Academy Trust with circa 10 schools.

Responsibilities

• Production of central management accounts.
• Consolidation of management accounts from each school in the Trust.
• Completion of reconciliations, prepayments and accruals.
• Review of central payroll (outsourced).
• Adhoc queries and support to Business Managers in the Schools.
• Deputise for the Finance Director in their absence.

Qualifications

• Ideally you will be CCAB qualified or equivalent (QBE or PQ will be considered).
• It is essential you have used IRIS/PS Financials (version 6 if possible).
• You will have previously worked in a School or Academy Trust setting.
• It is critical you have put together and consolidated management accounts.

£300 - £500 per day.

Umbrella.
