Job description
Overview

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting its key client to appoint an Interim Finance Manager on a 12-14 month FTC. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting for Group and statutory purposes, covering two core business segments. It requires strong analytical skills, stakeholder engagement and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead month-end close, including financial analysis and commentary
  • Prepare key journals: bad debt provisions, accruals, prepayments, intercompany and bank reconciliations
  • Support delivery of insightful management reporting and presentations
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting processes with stakeholders
  • Manage short-term cash flow and working capital reporting
  • Perform timely and accurate balance sheet reconciliations
  • Act as a trusted partner to divisional directors and senior management
  • Oversee monthly VAT reconciliations and ensure correct VAT treatment
  • Lead and develop a small finance team
  • Manage audits for assigned legal entities
  • Improve processes and strengthen internal controls
  • Collaborate with the Group consolidation team to ensure compliance
  • Provide ad-hoc support to senior finance leadership and participate in projects
Qualifications
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with strong academic and analytical background
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in month-end close and financial reporting
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS preferred)
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Commercially aware and able to work independently
  • Experience with general ledger systems; Dynamics 365 is a plus
